As a seasoned professional builder and developer we are regularly constructing custom homes and commercial projects for clients in the Wasatch Front area.
Since 1984, the AVL group has been developing land, designing and building custom homes and building commercial projects. Our clients includes individuals, home builders, multi-state corporations and state agencies.
The AVL group resume includes the following:
- Small commercial projects including tenant finish, construction and design
- Served as owner's representative for America First Credit Union's branch construction projects ensuring that the contract documents prepared by the Architect were adhered to, submittals, change orders, scheduling, team meetings and punch list execution were managed accurately and timely.
- Conducted land acquisition and entitlement of subdivisions for Ivory Homes, Inc. including securing and entitling new sites for single family and town home developments within Weber, Davis and Toole Counties.
- Working with planning and zoning departments, city council, planning commission and economic development personnel, including the consultant selection, contract document preparation, bid letting and construction administration of all civil work.
- Club Ivory Construction including design, contract document preparation, bid letting, contractor selection and construction supervision.
- Home Owners Association management in 20 communities including the selection of the property management companies, budget preparation, declarant liaison to the Association during the period of declarant control and turnover.
Of particular interest is AVL’s work for Flying J, Inc., Mr. Arnold and the AVL group supervised the entitlement, civil engineering and construction processes for their Travel Plazas in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Ohio, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, California and western Canada (BC and Alberta). This included the consultant selection, contract document preparation, bid letting and construction administration of civil, architectural and construction document preparation and construction administration on plazas including site supervision, sub-contractor coordination, change order review and approval and project closeout.
These projects ranged from 3 million to 10 million in value and required, in most cases, entitlement of property prior to construction. Approval with planning and zoning departments, city council, planning commission and economic development personnel was required on a regular basis. These efforts were conducted in person throughout the country and western Canada and required a working knowledge of code issues and the regulatory process including SWPPP, EPA, DNR, DOT and other governing bodies.
Mr. Arnold and the AVL group maintain involvement in the community through service to Habitat for Humanity, A Child's Hope Foundation, Kids Helping Kids and other worthwhile organizations.
